Our Director of Education
Georges Luu is a passionate educator and accomplished math tutor with a compelling personal story. Growing up as the child of war refugees from Vietnam, he was raised in the Curial-Cambrai neighborhood of Paris, navigating the challenges of a Priority Education Zone (ZEP). His academic journey took him from Bossuet Notre-Dame middle school to Stanislas high school, one of France's premier institutions known for its excellence in mathematics. Following his engineering studies, Georges earned a Master’s in Finance from ESSEC and spent five years working in an investment fund. For him, teaching transcends mere profession; it is a true vocation fueled by passion.
Georges's commitment to education extends beyond traditional classrooms. He has engaged in humanitarian missions focused on education in Nepal, Cambodia, and Vietnam, enriching his perspective on learning and teaching. His journey as an educator began at Bon Conseil while he was still a student at Stanislas, where he volunteered for two years. This experience cultivated his empathy and ability to inspire students, fostering an environment of kindness and rigor.
Having taught hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds, Georges primarily works with students from prestigious high schools such as Stan, Franklin, St Jean de Passy, LLG, and H4. Currently serving as the Director of Education at LXNA Finance and living in Asia, he teaches at French high schools while maintaining strong connections with the mainland. This dual role allows him to mentor students and share his extensive knowledge gained from years of experience.
As a GMAT and SAT tutor, Georges employs a wealth of tailored strategies to meet each student’s unique needs. His approach is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s about inspiring confidence and fostering a love for learning. His lessons are engaging and supportive, designed to unlock each student's potential while making mathematics approachable and enjoyable.
Georges focuses on creating a positive learning environment that encourages intellectual transparency and trust. He helps students overcome psychological barriers associated with math by framing it as an engaging challenge rather than an obstacle. Together, they analyze priorities in coursework be it DSTs, tests, or homework to ensure students feel prepared and confident on exam day.
Students can reach out to Georges anytime via WhatsApp or Email for support. While he maintains high standards in their interactions, he fosters a relaxed atmosphere that builds trust and leads to significant improvements in results from the very beginning. With over 10 years of experience guiding students from ZEP schools to elite Parisian high schools, Georges is dedicated to helping each student thrive academically while enjoying the process of learning mathematics.
